Employees in Categories E1 through I. In the event of death in the immediate family of an employee, the employee shall be entitled to leave without loss of pay for a period not to exceed three (3) days. The immediate family of an employee is defined as follows: spouse, children, parents, parents-in-law, grandchildren, grandparents, brother, sister, sister-in- law, brother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, and other dependents living in the household of the employee.

The purpose of this clause is to avoid a TIPS Member inadvertently renewing an Agreement during a period in which the governing body of the TIPS Member has not properly appropriated and budgeted the funds to satisfy the Agreement renewal. This term is not negotiable and any Agreement between a TIPS Member and a TIPS awarded vendor with an automatic renewal clause that conflicts with these terms is rendered void and unenforceable.
