Common use of EMPLOYEES SCHEDULED TO WORK ON FRIDAY AFTER THANKSGIVING Clause in Contracts

EMPLOYEES SCHEDULED TO WORK ON FRIDAY AFTER THANKSGIVING. Consistent with the provisions of Title 3 of this Agreement, employees may be scheduled to work on the Friday following Thanksgiving Day and the provisions of Subsection 14.7(a) are not applicable. In lieu thereof, such employee must elect to take another day off by June 1 of the following year. However, if such day off has not been arranged by Company by June 1, the provisions of Subsection 14.7(a) shall apply to the employee's next regularly scheduled workday after June 1, provided the employee notifies his/her supervisor of his/her election at least seven calendar days in advance of the day selected. The number of such employees who are required to work on the Friday following Thanksgiving Day shall be kept to a minimum consistent with operational needs. (Amended 1-1-91)
