Christmas or New Year's Day Off. (i) Each Employee shall receive either Christmas Day or New Year’s Day off, unless otherwise mutually agreed. In addition, the Employer will make every reasonable effort to schedule an Employee in such a manner that they do not work the same holiday (Christmas Day or New Year’s Day) that they worked the previous year, unless otherwise mutually agreed. Subject to operational requirements, Employees who have Christmas Day or New Year’s Day scheduled off may also have December 24th or December 31st respectively scheduled off. (ii) Every effort will be made to give at least two (2) other holidays off on the actual day of the holiday.
