Common use of EMPLOYEES STARTING ON SITE/TRAVELLING ALLOWANCE Clause in Contracts

EMPLOYEES STARTING ON SITE/TRAVELLING ALLOWANCE. (a) Employees may be required to start and cease work on site within the agreed zone. (b) An employee will not be required to travel directly to a job outside of a radius of 30 kilometres from the GPO Melbourne. (c) Time spent by employees required to travel beyond the agreed zone outside of normal hours of work will be counted as time worked and paid at the appropriate rate in accordance with the award. (d) The company will reimburse employees required to undertake such travel for legitimate associated costs including parking and tolls. (e) All employees required to work on site will be paid a travelling allowance of $24.55 per day in addition to amounts payable under subclause (c) and (d). This allowance will increase to the amounts specified below.
