End of fixed-term contract of employment. ▪ If the employee has a contract of employment for a period of six months or longer and if a particular date has been specified as the end date of this contract, the employer is obliged to inform the employee in writing whether the employer intends to continue the contract and, if so, under what terms and conditions. The employer must do this no later than one month before the end date. ▪ If the employer fails to do so, the employer will be required to pay the employee the statutory compensation in lieu of notification.
