Engineering Philosophy. The project entails the installation of fire detectors for the new Stores Building to enable early warning fire detection and alarming for evacuation and fire-fighting purposes. Automatic fire detection is provided for the Stores Building in accordance with the requirements of SAN 10139 – Fire Detection and Alarm Systems for BuildingsSystem design, installation and servicing. Maintenance of the fire detection system is in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and the requirements of Eskom Standard 240- 54937454 – Inspection, Testing and Maintenance of Fire Protection Systems.

Engineering Philosophy. The exhaust stacks of the Gas Turbine Exhaust System are designed to ensure safe construction and have passively designed engineered safety measures. The engineering philosophy employed by the system is to contain the hot exhaust gasses (600°C) and direct them to atmosphere in a gas tight enclosure, at a safe elevation out of harm’s way from plant and personnel. The systems design is to reduce heat radiation by using insulation as well as reduce noise emissions by using internal silencers inside the exhaust stack. The exhaust stacks will support emission monitoring via the PM emission ports in the upper segment.

  • Engineering Forest Service completed survey and design for Specified Roads prior to timber sale advertisement, unless otherwise shown in A8 or Purchaser survey and design are specified in A7.   • Project Development a. Collaborate with COUNTY and project clients to identify requirements and develop a project Scope Statement.

  • Design Development An interim step in the design process. Design Development documents consist of plans, elevations, and other drawings and outline specifications.
