Entertainment, Gifts and Favours Sample Clauses

Entertainment, Gifts and Favours. In the normal course of business interactions, small gifts, tokens of appreciation, and offers of entertainment, such as complimentary tickets to a sporting event, are common. Board Members and employees may accept such tokens provided that the value is nominal and of a nature that could easily be reciprocated by the Board Member or employee. Board Members and employees may not accept gifts, entertainment, services, or other benefits that are offered to secure preferential treatment, or that may be perceived by others to potentially influence a Board Member or employee’s normal decision making outcomes or performance of duties. Gifts valued under $100.00 are acceptable. In the event that a gift over $100 is accepted, the Board Member or employee must declare the receipt of such a gift to the Board Chair, or your manager. If you are in doubt, you are encouraged to seek the advice of your manager or the General Manager. Board Members may seek the advice of the Chair.
