EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY AND NON-DISCRIMINATION. 4.1 It is the policy of the University not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, age, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identify and/or expression, genetic information, military or veteran status (special disabled veterans, disabled veterans and Vietnam-era veterans), or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal or state law. It is also a violation of University policy to retaliate against any individual for filing a complaint of discrimination or for cooperating in an investigation of alleged discrimination (protected activity). Unlawful discrimination has no place at the University and offends the University's core values, which include a commitment to equal opportunity and inclusion.
