ESE STUDENT SPECIFIC PARAEDUCATORS Sample Clauses

ESE STUDENT SPECIFIC PARAEDUCATORS. ESE Student Specific Paraeducators are considered Districtwide employees as they are trained and assigned to work with a specific student(s). If the assigned student transfers to another school within the District, the ESE Student Specific Paraeducator transfers with the student if the receiving school is within the mileage allocation, or they wish to accept the move. If the assigned student exits the District, or no longer requires a student specific paraeducator according to the Individual Educational Plan (IEP), the ESE Student Specific Paraeducator is displaced and will be reassigned, with the first priority being a vacant position within the next pay grade and mileage policies. In case of layoffs ESE Student Specific Paraeducators will be given priority if they have received certified District training to meet the student’s Individual Educational Plan (IEP) including, but not limited to verbal de-escalation/restraint, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) training, toileting, minimal medical training, and/or mobility/lifting training.
