Association President Leave. The Board agrees to grant temporary duty leave to the president of the Association during his/her term of office. 6.10-1 Upon election, the President shall apply for Association leave for the term of their office in writing to the Superintendent. The President shall remain an active employee and shall suffer no loss in benefits during his/her service. The President shall be compensated at his/her salary for 196 days per year, shall receive credit toward annual salary increments, and shall be allowed to remain a part of the health plan and benefit programs to the extent allowed by law. 6.10-2 The Association shall reimburse the District within thirty (30) calendar days upon receipt of an invoice for any and all costs incurred during this period of full time temporary duty assignment, to include, but not limited to costs of salary, payroll taxes, retirement contribution, health plan contribution, workers’ compensation, and other benefits and/or any other payments present or future incurred by the Board as a result of this arrangement.
Association President Leave. The Association President shall be granted President leave in accordance with the following: 9.13.1 The Association shall submit a written request for such leave at least seven (7) days in advance of commencement of the leave. Such request shall state the specific reason for the requested leave and the day or days of the leave. 9.13.2 The granting of such leave shall be subject to the Employer's determination that the President’s absence will not impair the quality of classroom instruction. Such leave shall be approved for either one-half (½) or all of the normal scheduled Employee workday. 9.13.3 There shall not be an aggregate number of Association President Leave Days in any school term in excess of ten (10) school days. 9.13.4 This Section shall not preclude the President from requesting Association Leave Days in accordance with the provisions of Section 9.10. 9.13.5 The Association shall reimburse the Employer for each such President Leave Day the cost of the President’s daily compensation in accordance with Appendix A. 9.13.6 The Association President shall be released from full-time teaching duties and provided Association Released Time for one (1) hour of student contact time per day. This time shall be taken in a manner which is least disruptive to the educational process in the District, and the specific schedule of released time shall be mutually determined by the Association and the Employer. The Association President shall not be responsible for those instructional duties for which the replacement Employee has been employed and it is understood that the necessary coordination between the Association President and the replacement Employee regarding parent conferences, staffings, inservices, and other required meetings shall occur so as to not disrupt the educational process. Upon return from the released time experience, the Association President shall resume full time instruction in the exact teaching assignment which he left if that position still exists, unless a voluntary transfer request by the President has been honored.
Association President Leave. ‌ 1. If elected into office, this language allows an Education Staff Professional to serve as a full time release President for the Association. The Association President shall be given credit on the salary schedule for the year(s) served as President.
Association President Leave. Upon request from the Association, the District will grant the President of the Association a leave of absence for the term of office. The Association will reimburse the District the amount of the BA – Step 6 salary, plus eighteen percent (18%) to offset fringe benefits. The District will, at its expense, maintain PERA, life, dental, health, and disability insurance for the Association President. The District contribution for benefits provided to the Association President will be comparable to the contribution provided to Teachers by this Agreement. Any leave taken by the Association President on a Teacher contract day shall be reported to the District’s Department of Human Resources through the Littleton Absence Reporting System (XXXX). The time spent on leave will be recognized as experience credit for advancement on the salary schedule. Effective with the school year immediately following a leave, the person on leave will be returned to a position similar to the one held at the time the leave commenced in accordance with the provisions of Section 10.16 hereof.

Association President Leave. 1. Upon request by the Association prior to June 1st, the District will grant the Association President a leave of absence without pay for the following fiscal year. Such leave guarantees return to the same position or to a comparable position. Upon return to a District position, the Association President shall be placed on the salary schedule at the level which they would have achieved had they remained actively employed in the District. Furthermore, the Association President shall accrue benefits in the same manner that they would have accrued benefits had they remained actively employed in the District. This unpaid leave shall be for the President to carry out the statutory duties of the Association as exclusive representative in collective bargaining, contract administration and grievance processing during the life of the contract and related activities bearing a direct relationship to labor-management relationships between the Association and the District. Such leave shall be granted upon request of the Association President prior to June 1st of the year preceding the school year in which the leave is to be taken. 2. The District shall continue to pay the President as if they were employed in the position held prior to the leave. The Association will report to the District the annual pay for the Association President and the District will coordinate payment, spread over the number of months (i.e. 10, 11, or 12) specified by the Association. The Association shall reimburse the District the total cost (i.e. salary, payroll, and fringe benefits) paid to the President.

Association President Leave. The Kirkwood Faculty Association President can choose a 6 credit hour release time leave of absence with pay or 6 credit hour overload pay during the year s/he is serving as President of the Association. In cases where the individual chooses release time and is not scheduled for a 3-hour course, a 2-hour or 4-hour reduction shall be provided. However, every attempt will be made to provide a total of a 6 credit hour reduction per year. Notification will be given to the Human Resources Office by February 1 each year of the individual they wish to receive Association Officer Leave. No additional overloads will be permitted during the term a unit member is on Association Officer Leave.
Association President Leave. The President of the Association representing the majority of the teachers, at the request of the Association, will be given leave with pay during such President's term of office; provided however, the Association shall reimburse the District the full cost of salary and fringe benefits of the Association President. The leave shall be for no less than one semester. The Association must provide the District a ninety (90) day notice in advance of such leave request. Upon returning to employment as a teacher, reasonable efforts will be made by the District to place the President in the same or comparable position held when the leave commenced. The President will be advanced on the salary schedule as other teachers and without any limitation because of the leave granted.
Association President Leave. The local association president will receive leave for fifty percent (50%) of each school day to conduct association business and carry out the duties of the president. The local association president will receive leave for 100% of each school day to conduct association business, work with administration, and carry out the duties of the president for the duration of the grant. Each year of the grant the association and administration will meet to evaluate and determine the release time. If the association president has not been rated ineffective or needs improvement, the president will be eligible for any increases afforded to other teachers.
