Except for a Casual Clause Samples
The 'Except for a Casual' clause serves to exclude certain individuals, typically casual employees, from the application of specific terms or conditions within an agreement. In practice, this means that rights, benefits, or obligations outlined in the contract do not extend to those classified as casual workers, who may be engaged on an irregular or as-needed basis. This clause is primarily used to clarify the scope of the agreement and prevent misunderstandings about who is covered, ensuring that only eligible parties receive the specified entitlements or protections.
Except for a Casual. Guard employed at the RCMP detachment, a Casual Employee who is not called to work for three (3) months or is unavailable for work for a period of three (3) months or more, shall be considered separated and/or lose all seniority in that department.
