Exception to Maximum Accrual. If an employee’s request for annual leave is denied by the Employer, and the employee has not exceeded the annual leave maximum (two hundred forty (240) hours) but will exceed the annual leave maximum due to the denial of leave, the Employer shall grant an extension for each month that the Employer defers the employee’s request for annual leave. Excess leave shall be taken by the employee as soon as possible, but in any event, by their next anniversary date.
