Extended Leave of Absence Without Pay. a) The Board may grant an employee a leave of absence without pay for a period of up to one (1) year in accordance with the provisions of this Article. Requests for such leave shall be submitted in writing to the Manager of Human Resources via the immediate supervisor at least one month in advance of the employee’s last day of scheduled work. All requests for leave shall contain the reasons for the request.
