Common use of Extension of Employees’ Year Clause in Contracts

Extension of Employees’ Year. If the District requires any employee covered by this Agreement to begin employment prior to the regular bargaining unit employee’s contract year or extend beyond the regular employee’s contract year, such additional time will be pro-rated on the annual contract salary as set forth in Appendix 3 Schedule A. This provision does not apply when the District makes up days pursuant to statute or rule or regulation which would result in the District’s being penalized if such days were not made up. Such days will be made up and rescheduled according to the provisions of this Agreement.
