Common use of Extent of Insurance Coverage Clause in Contracts

Extent of Insurance Coverage. From the time of launching of the VESSEL until the VESSEL is delivered to and accepted by the BUYER, the BUILDER shall, at its own cost and expense, keep the VESSEL and all machinery, materials, equipment, appurtenances and outfit delivered to the SHIPYARD for the VESSEL or built into, or installed in or upon the VESSEL fully insured with first class insurance company in Korea, against the risks under cover corresponding to the “Institute Clause for Builder’s Risk” upon the London Market. The insurance coverage shall be carried up to the date of delivery of the VESSEL, and shall be in an amount equal to the CONTRACT PRICE. A copy of the insurance policy shall be delivered to the BUYER.
