Extra Curricular Student Activities. 1) When a unit member participates in an approved student activity, during or outside of normal working hours, the unit member will be reimbursed for any personal out-of-pocket expenses related to the activity in the same manner as section 6.11 (1-7) above. Presentation of evidence of said expenses is required. Overtime pay will not be awarded unless agreed to in advance of the specific approved student activity. When a staff member volunteers as a sponsor, and is approved by the Administration in a Skills USA, DECA, HOSA, bPA, FFA, MITES, or other approved club functions, he/she shall receive three and one-half percent (3.5%) of the bA. When a staff member volunteers as a coach and is approved by the Administration, he/she shall receive two percent (2%) of the bA per sport. The bA rate will be increased one year for each year of service beginning in 2004.
