Co-Curricular Activities. As defined in the PELRA, teachers may apply for and/or be assigned by the administration as advisors or sponsors of activities listed in Schedule C. All openings for extra and co-curricular activities will be posted via an electronic job system for five (5) days. When an opening exists, qualified volunteers within the OALC will be given consideration before an assignment is made. Payments, as reflected in Schedule C, will appear as separate line items on the pay statement.
Co-Curricular Activities. 23.5.1 The Board and Association have agreed to a new Co-Curricular Schedule for District Level and Performing Arts Assignments, and a new pay structure for School Level Assignments beginning in the 2021-22 school year. All returning coaches from the 2019-20 and 2020-21 school years will be placed on their current step and will then take one step down where applicable. The salaries for all coaches and co-curricular teachers shall be determined by their placement on the co-curricular salary schedule attached as Appendix II. The co-curricular salary schedules will increase each year by the lowest agreed upon percentage increase to teacher salaries. For 2022-2023 school year, there will be no percentage increase to Appendix II and III.
23.5.1.1 Post-Season: Every week with an additional competition will be compensated according to the Appendix II Co-Curricular Post-Season line on the schedule.
23.5.2 Effective August 16 of each year, coaching and co-curricular teachers will move to the next higher experience step for their given sport or activity.
23.5.3 Salaries paid to teachers on the Appendix II co-curricular salary schedule for coaches will be paid at the second pay period closest to the middle and end of the season for which they are coaching. Teachers on Appendix III and Appendix IV co-curricular salary schedules will be paid at the second pay date of November and the second pay date of May.
23.5.4 Co-curricular vacancies for the ensuing school year will be posted by May 1. Co- curricular vacancies, which occur during the year will be posted within 10 days of when they occur or become known. The best-qualified individual will be selected with preference in filling co-curricular/coaching vacancies and will be done in the following order:
a. In-building licensed staff.
b. Out of building certified staff.
c. Staff in possession of a letter of authorization from the Colorado Department of Education.
23.5.5 Co-curricular staff, through his or her School Director and school co-curricular committee, shall have input into the development of the co-curricular budget. Co- curricular staff will have the right to recommend changes and priorities in the allocation of funds in the co-curricular budget prior to final adoption. Co-Curricular Activities.
4.28.1 A wide variety of co-curricular activities contribute to the mission and ethos of the school and may enhance the holistic development of the student. Therefore, an organised co-curricular program is provided.
4.28.2 Teachers contribute to the ethos and mission of the school by accepting the performance of co-curricular activities which are an integral part of the total school curriculum. The employer seeks to formalise more equitable practices in relation to co-curricular activities. It is the employer's view that such practices may generally involve participation in at least two co- curricular activities during each year.
4.28.3 Co-curricular activities will be considered to include supervision of school sports, clubs within the school, cadet training and other like duties.
4.28.4 Co-curricular activities thus defined will continue to be performed on an honorary and voluntary basis.
4.28.5 A schedule of the current recognised elements of the school's co-curricular will be developed at each school using those mechanisms outlined in clause 2.1 hereof. Members of staff are actively involved in maintaining the schedule.
4.28.6 Where variation to the schedule is contemplated, any such variation will be by the agreement of those parties affected using those mechanisms outlined in clause 2.1 of this Agreement.
Co-Curricular Activities. G. The enrollment of the student of employees who reside outside the District shall be subject to School Board Policy 3.02
Co-Curricular Activities. 26.9.1 Filling New Positions and Filling Positions in New Schools
26.9.1.1 When the District determines there is a new or open co-curricular activities position, said position shall first be advertised to in-building employees. If no in-building employee is selected to fill the position, the District will post the position for five (5) workdays. Consideration will be given to in-district applicants before applicants who are not employees.
26.9.1.2 In the event the District opens a new secondary school, the District will follow the process outlined in Section 26.9.1.1, after the staff for the new building has been selected.
Co-Curricular Activities. 1. For teachers employed prior to July 1, 1981, participation in co-curricular activities will be by mutual consent between the Principal and the teacher and will be compensated for in accordance with the provisions of Article XXII of this Agreement.
2. Any teacher whose initial date of employment is subsequent to July 1, 1981, may, as a condition of employment and of continued employment, be required during his or her first ten (10) years of service to assume co-curricular positions as set forth in Article XXII, Section C.
Co-Curricular Activities. Point of Discovery School students will have the opportunity to participate in co- curricular activities in their home schools’ attendance areas. Non-resident students will be assigned to home schools by the District on a case-by-case basis.

(c) Co-curricular activities shall be considered to include supervision of school sports, clubs within the school, cadet training and other like duties.
(d) Co-curricular activities thus defined shall continue to be performed on an honorary and voluntary basis.
(e) A schedule of the current recognised elements of the school's co-curricular shall be developed at each school using those mechanisms outlined in clause 2.1 hereof. The parties acknowledge that members of staff are actively involved in maintaining the schedule.
(f) Where variation to the schedule is contemplated, any such variation shall be by the agreement of those parties affected using those mechanisms outlined in clause 2.1 of this Agreement.
7.16.2 This provision applies to all Religious Institute Boys’ Schools

It is the employing authority’s view that there may generally be participation by teaching staff in at least two (2) co-curricular activities during each year.
(c) Co-curricular activities shall be considered to include supervision of school sports, clubs within the school, cadet training and other like duties.
(d) Co-curricular activities thus defined shall continue to be performed on an honorary and voluntary basis.
Co-Curricular Activities. A. Should a bargaining unit member apply for and be awarded a contract for a co-curricular activity, the salary for such activity will be identical to the salary that would apply if that position were filled by a District teacher.
B. Participation of a member in a co-curricular activity is strictly voluntary.
