Faculty. The selection and supervision of instructional faculty for all community college courses covered by this agreement will be the responsibility of HCC:
a. All instructors HCPSS may recommend qualified teachers who are interested in teaching in the dual credit courses enrollment program to HCC for consideration. Each faculty member teaching in the dual enrollment program shall be a member of HCC's full-time or part-time faculty or an employee of HCPSS. Dual enrollment course faculty must meet the Collegeminimum credential requirements set forth by HCC Human Resources and meet the standards of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR).
b. When HCC and HCPSS determine that an HCC course will be taught at an HCPSS high school, HCC and HCPSS will jointly identify an instructor. If that instructor is a HCPSS employee, the teacher will be compensated by HCPSS only. HCC faculty teaching at HCPSS will be compensated by HCC.

HCPSS will notify HCC of all three (3) day or longer leave of absences of HCPSS teachers that are known in advance, and of any unplanned absences of more than 10 consecutive school days thus requiring a long-term substitute.
