Federation Business. Duly authorized representatives of the Federation shall be permitted to transact official Federation business on institutional property at all reasonable times provided there is no disruption to the normal operations of the College.

The authorized representative of the Federation shall be permitted to transact official Federation business on school property at reasonable times not interfering with the educational process or District duties of the employee. The representative shall notify the school principal of the representative's campus presence.
Federation Business. 5. 2.1 Only authorized representatives of the Federation shall be permitted to transact official Federation business on Washtenaw Intermediate School District property, provided that such transactions shall not interfere with the working hours of the employees.
Federation Business. A. The Board will provide forty-two (42) hours for Federation business. When possible, the Federation will notify the Superintendent or designee that a Federation Day will be used five (5) working days in advance submitted thru AESOP for federation business. In the event that the nature of the Federation business prevents five day notification, the Federation President will notify the Superintendent or designee, by phone or in person, no later than ninety (90) minutes prior to the start of the school day. The Superintendent or designee will make arrangements to cover assignments when necessary.
B. At times, it may become necessary for the Federation President and/or designees, with the consent of the Superintendent or designee, to be released from classroom duties to handle urgent school problems.
C. If the necessity to miss a scheduled class is made by the administration then such time shall not be deducted from the allotted Federation hours.
Federation Business i) The Board may grant requests for absence from duty for members to attend Bargaining Unit business.
ii) The Bargaining Unit shall reimburse the Board at the occasional teacher’s daily rate for the duration of the member’s absence.
Federation Business. 18.01 The Board will ▇▇▇▇ the Federation if the Local requests that an Occasional Teacher be released from Occasional Teacher responsibilities for Federation business. That Occasional Teacher will be paid the appropriate rate and the Board will ▇▇▇▇ the Federation to recover the cost.
Federation Business. Absence without loss of salary, sick leave credits, benefits, seniority or experience shall be granted according to the following:
a) At the request of the District Executive, the Principal shall grant a teacher a leave of absence to permit punctual attendance at ETFO workshops and meetings. Leave of absence granted under this section will not exceed in the aggregate, twenty five (25) days during the school year per school.
b) At the request of the District President, the Director shall grant the District President a leave of absence for up to one school year.
c) ETFO shall reimburse the Board for any replacement costs (supply teachers salary and benefits, CPP, EI, EHT, WSIB) incurred by the Board in granting the leaves described in Paragraph (a) . ETFO shall reimburse the Board for the cost of the salary and benefits of the District President during the leave described in Paragraph (b).
Federation Business. Section 1. The Employer agrees to provide a separate and identified space on bulletin boards in work locations where more than five employees in this unit are located. Such bulletin boards shall be in areas in those work locations that are normally frequented and readily accessible to the employees. The Federation shall have the exclusive right as the employee representative organization to post notices directed to the employees in this unit. The bulletin board may be used for the announcement of meetings, election of officers of the Federation and any other material
Section 2. The Employer shall make available to the Federation, upon its reasonable request and within a reasonable time thereafter, such information, statistics and records related to the bargaining unit, which are in possession of the Employer and are necessary for the negotiations and/or the implementation of this Agreement. The Employer shall not be required to compile such material in the form requested if it is not already compiled in that form, unless mutually agreeable.
Section 3. No Federation member or representative shall solicit members, engage in organization work, or participate in other Federation activities during work hours of the employees involved on the Employer's premises except as provided for in this Agreement.
Section 4. Federation members or representatives may be permitted to use suitable facilities on the Employer's premises to conduct Federation business during non-work hours of the employees involved upon obtaining permission from the Employer's human resource officer or a designated representative. Any additional costs involved in such use must be paid for by the Federation.
Section 5. The Employer will provide a reasonable number of employees with time off, without loss of pay, to attend negotiating meetings, labor-management meetings and meet-and-discuss sessions.
Section 6. A copy of any notice, directive, or bulletin relating to any bargaining unit employee shall be made available on request of the Federation. No such notice, directive or bulletin shall be denied to the Federation for reason that salary or related salary information is shown thereon.
Section 7. A copy of this Agreement shall be offered to each employee covered by this Agreement who commences services with the Commonwealth after the date of execution of the Agreement, provided the employing agency has been furnished sufficient copies for this purpose by the Federation.

Federation Business. Section 1. The County agrees that a duly designated Federation Business Agent shall be permitted, during the workday, to enter upon the County's premises and in those areas which are not devoted to the performance of the employees' duties, for the limited purpose of conferring and consulting with the Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ during the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇'▇ break or lunch period; or during the Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇'▇ workday provided the Federation Business Agent receives prior approval of the Director of Human Resources which approval will be based upon those circumstances where it is urgent to resolve a specific problem with the Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ for the mutual benefit of labor and management. The Business Agent of the Federation shall, on arrival at the County Division or premises, report to the department head or supervisor in charge.
Section 2. The County shall provide the Federation with reasonable space and access to existing Division bulletin boards in those Divisions where members of the Federation are employed and the Federation may erect bulletin boards where none exist. Space designated for the Federation shall not be used for County notices or bulletins. All notices or bulletins of the Federation that are to be posted must be submitted to the County Administrator for the County or the County Administrator’s duly authorized representative, for approval prior to posting with a copy for the County. There shall be no other general distribution or posting by employees of pamphlets, advertising or political matter, notices, or any kind of literature upon County property other than as herein provided. The bulletin boards, authorized by the County for use by the Federation, may be used by the Federation, under the terms of this Article, only for the purpose of posting the following notices and announcements:
A. Notices of Federation meetings and minutes of meetings;
B. Notices of Federation elections;
C. Notices of Federation appointments to office;
D. Notices of Federation recreational, social affairs, benefits, and other Federation activities. Any intentional violation of this provision by the Federation will result in the privilege of such use of the bulletin boards being withdrawn.

Federation Business. 5.4.1 Duly authorized representatives of the Federation shall be permitted to transact official Federation business on Washtenaw Intermediate School District property, provided that such transactions shall not interfere with the working hours of the employees. The total membership of the Federation, including its officers, may use up to five (5) days per year (between July 1 and June 30 each year) to attend workshops or conferences related to Federation activities provided that the Federation president provides suitable notice of at least two (2) weeks to the administration, and provided the Federation reimburses the district an amount equal to the individual employees daily pay rate for each day that a Federation member participates in a conference/workshop activity.
