– Field Reconnaissance—Archaeological Resources. A field inventory of the archaeological APE will be performed. Based on the developed and disturbed nature of the project area, and information on this project, there has been no indication that any known archaeological or historic sites are present in or near the right of way. CONSULTANT assumes for purposes of budgeting that no archaeological resources would be identified within the APE. If archeological resources are identified during the survey or records search, additional evaluation would be necessary and is not included in this scope of work. The project’s potential vertical disturbance must be investigated in to determine whether buried archaeological resources could be affected. CONSULTANT will perform a geoarchaeological study based on available sources including geological maps, soils data, and literature on Bay Area landscape evolution. CONSULTANT assumes that Caltrans’ current evaluation of sensitivity conditions along the US 101 corridor will be available for reference. Excavation of the soil and substrate to obtain new geoarchaeological data is not proposed or included in this scope. The results of the field reconnaissance and geoarchaeological study will be incorporated into the Archaeological Survey Report (ASR).

  • Cultural Resources If a cultural resource is discovered, the Purchaser shall immediately suspend all operations in the vicinity of the cultural resource and notify the Forest Officer. Operations may only resume if authorized by the Forest Officer. Cultural resources identified and protected elsewhere in this contract are exempted from this clause. Cultural resources, once discovered or identified, are not to be disturbed by the Purchaser, or his, her or its employees and/or sub- contractors.

  • COUNTY’S QUALITY ASSURANCE PLAN The County or its agent will evaluate the Contractor’s performance under this Contract on not less than an annual basis. Such evaluation will include assessing the Contractor’s compliance with all Contract terms and conditions and performance standards. Contractor deficiencies which the County determines are severe or continuing and that may place performance of the Contract in jeopardy if not corrected will be reported to the Board of Supervisors. The report will include improvement/corrective action measures taken by the County and the Contractor. If improvement does not occur consistent with the corrective action measures, the County may terminate this Contract or impose other penalties as specified in this Contract.

  • Public Safety The Permittee shall comply with the following provisions.

  • Additional Resources The WLSC may establish workgroups that include other department representatives and/or subject matter experts. These subcommittees shall conform with rules established by the WLSC.

  • Geological and archaeological finds It is expressly agreed that mining, geological or archaeological rights do not form part of this Agreement with the Contractor for the Works, and the Contractor hereby acknowledges that it shall not have any mining rights or interest in the underlying minerals, fossils, antiquities, structures or other remnants or things either of particular geological or archaeological interest and that such rights, interest and property on or under the Site shall vest in and belong to the Authority or the concerned Government Instrumentality. The Contractor shall take all reasonable precautions to prevent its workmen or any other person from removing or damaging such interest or property and shall inform the Authority forthwith of the discovery thereof and comply with such instructions as the concerned Government Instrumentality may reasonably give for the removal of such property. For the avoidance of doubt, it is agreed that any reasonable expenses incurred by the Contractor hereunder shall be reimbursed by the Authority. It is also agreed that the Authority shall procure that the instructions hereunder are issued by the concerned Government Instrumentality within a reasonable period.
