Financial Statement Adjustments or Restatements Sample Clauses
The Financial Statement Adjustments or Restatements clause addresses how parties should handle situations where previously issued financial statements are corrected or revised. Typically, this clause outlines the procedures for recalculating financial metrics, obligations, or payments that were based on the original, now-restated statements, and may require parties to make corresponding adjustments, such as refunding overpayments or making up shortfalls. Its core function is to ensure fairness and accuracy in financial dealings by providing a clear process for correcting the effects of errors or misstatements in financial reporting.
