Fishery Observer/At‐Sea Monitor II ‐ The Fishery observer/At. Sea Monitor II shall meet and 36 perform all the General Requirements specified in C.4.3.2a, perform all duties of Fishery 37 observer/At-Sea Monitor I and the following additional duties: 38 a) Independently executes duties, while learning when and how to resolve exceptions and 39 special problems. 40 b) Estimate amounts and species composition of fish caught, retained and discarded, 41 utilizing knowledge of various statistically valid sampling methods and dichotomous 42 keys. 1 c) Measure selected portions of catch including incidentally caught marine mammals, sea 2 birds and sea turtles. 3 d) Uses calculator and/or PC for calculations and recording data.
