Five Month Differential Pay. Upon exhaustion of all accumulated sick leave, when a regular unit member continues to be absent from his/her duties on account of illness or accident for a period of five school months (100 working days) or less, whether or not the absence arises out of or in the course of the employment of the member, and when his/her sick or industrial accident leave benefits have been consumed, he/she shall receive fifty percent of his/her regular salary during the period of such absence.
Five Month Differential Pay. A unit member who continues to be absent after all personal accumulated sick leave has been exhausted shall receive fifty percent (50%) of his/her salary or the difference between his/her salary and the Tier 2 cost of a substitute teacher’s salary, whichever is greater, for a period not to exceed five (5) continuous school months.
