Formal Step. 2. Settlement not being reached at the formal first step meeting the appropriate Union representative shall have thirty (30) calendar days in which to appeal the grievance to the Labor Relations Manager. Discussions shall commence, unless mutually arranged otherwise, within fourteen (14) calendar days after receipt of the Union’s written notice. The Company shall respond in writing within thirty (30) calendar days to the appropriate Union representative upon completion of the Formal Step 2 discussion.
