Foundations of Higher Mathematics/Mathematical Proof. Mathematical systems are built up logically from statements that are true. In a mathematical system, a statement that is not an axiom or a definition is not accepted as true until it has been proven. Therefore, the ability to prove mathematical theorems and to read and comprehend the proofs of mathematical theorems is a necessary competency for the understanding of the structure of mathematics.   • MEASUREMENT AND VERIFICATION The goal of this task is to report the benefits resulting from this project by performing measurement and verification (M&V) of fossil fuel consumption and associated GHG reduction. • Enter into agreement with M&V subcontractor per Task 1.9 • Coordinate site visits with the M&V subcontractor at the demonstration site(s) • Develop M&V protocol for pre-installation measurements (and calculations): o Electric, natural gas and/or other fossil fuel consumption and GHG emissions (use appropriate emissions factor from Attachment 8 of the grant solicitation) of the equipment/process/system(s)/sub-system(s) that are to be upgraded and/or replaced and/or modified. o Ensure installation of sub-metering equipment and data loggers for pre/post data analysis. • Prepare and provide a detailed M&V Plan for each project demonstration site to include but not be limited to: o A description of the monitoring equipment and instrumentation which will be used. o A description of the key input parameters and output metrics which will be measured. o A description of the M&V protocol and analysis methods to be employed. o A description of the independent, third-party M&V services to be employed, if applicable. • Perform three months (or shorter period as approved in writing by the CAM) of pre- installation measurements (and calculations) based on the M&V protocol for pre- installation. • Prepare and provide a Pre-Installation M&V Findings Report for the demonstration site that includes M&V protocol, pre-install measurements (and calculations), analysis, and results performed in this task. • Develop M&V protocol for post-installation measurements (and calculations) of: o Electric, natural gas and/or other fossil fuel consumption and GHG emissions (use appropriate emissions factor from Attachment 8 of the grant solicitation) of the equipment/process/system(s)/sub-system(s) that will be upgraded and/or replaced and/or modified • Perform 12 months or two seasons, for seasonal facilities, (or shorter period as approved in writing by the CAM) of post-installation measurements based on M&V protocol for post-installation. • Provide a summary of post-installation M&V progress in Progress Report(s) (see subtask 1.5) which shall include but not be limited to:

  • Particular Methods of Procurement of Goods and Works International Competitive Bidding. Goods and works shall be procured under contracts awarded on the basis of International Competitive Bidding.

  • Standard Operating Procedures Standard Operating Procedures shall not contravene the Canada Labour Code, the Canadian Human Rights Code, or the Collective Agreement, and an allegation of such contravention is subject to the grievance procedure.

  • Testing Procedure Limitations The Asset Representations Reviewer will only be required to perform the testing procedures listed under “Tests” in Schedule A, and will have no obligation to perform additional procedures on any Subject Lease or to provide any information other than a Review Report indicating for each Subject Lease whether there was a Test Pass or a Test Fail for each Test, or whether the Subject Lease was a Test Complete and the related reason. However, the Asset Representations Reviewer may provide additional information about any Subject Lease that it determines in good faith to be material to the Review.

  • Calibration The comparison of a measurement system or device of unverified accuracy with a measurement system of known and greater accuracy to detect deviation of the unverified measurement system from required performance specifications (of the unverified measurement system or device) and to quantify all measured values to applicable units of the international system of units.

  • Other Methods of Procurement of Goods and Works The following table specifies the methods of procurement, other than International Competitive Bidding, which may be used for goods and works. The Procurement Plan shall specify the circumstances under which such methods may be used: (a) National Competitive Bidding (b) Shopping (c) Direct Contracting

  • Standard of Care; Uncontrollable Events; Limitation of Liability SMC shall use reasonable professional diligence to ensure the accuracy of all services performed under this Agreement, but shall not be liable to the Company for any action taken or omitted by SMC in the absence of bad faith, willful misfeasance, negligence or reckless disregard by it of its obligations and duties. The duties of SMC shall be confined to those expressly set forth herein, and no implied duties are assumed by or may be asserted against SMC hereunder. SMC shall maintain adequate and reliable computer and other equipment necessary or appropriate to carry out its obligations under this Agreement. Upon the Company's reasonable request, SMC shall provide supplemental information concerning the aspects of its disaster recovery and business continuity plan that are relevant to the services provided hereunder. Notwithstanding the foregoing or any other provision of this Agreement, SMC assumes no responsibility hereunder, and shall not be liable for, any damage, loss of data, delay or any other loss whatsoever caused by events beyond its reasonable control. Events beyond SMC's reasonable control include, without limitation, force majeure events. Force majeure events include natural disasters, actions or decrees of governmental bodies, and communication lines failures that are not the fault of either party. In the event of force majeure, computer or other equipment failures or other events beyond its reasonable control, SMC shall follow applicable procedures in its disaster recovery and business continuity plan and use all commercially reasonable efforts to minimize any service interruption. SMC shall provide the Company, at such times as the Company may reasonably require, copies of reports rendered by independent public accountants on the internal controls and procedures of SMC relating to the services provided by SMC under this Agreement. Notwithstanding anything in this Agreement to the contrary, in no event shall SMC, its affiliates or any of its or their directors, officers, employees, agents or subcontractors be liable for exemplary, punitive, special, incidental, indirect or consequential damages, or lost profits, each of which is hereby excluded by agreement of the parties regardless of whether such damages were foreseeable or whether either party or any entity has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

  • APPLICABILITY TO SUBCONTRACTORS Respondent agrees that all contracts it awards pursuant to the contract awarded as a result of this Agreement will be bound by the foregoing terms and conditions.

  • LIMITATIONS ON REVERSE ENGINEERING, DECOMPILATION AND DISASSEMBLY You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software, except and only to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this limitation.

  • Tests 7.7.1 If the Contract Documents, laws, ordinances, rules, regulations or orders of any public authority having jurisdiction require any portion of the Work to be inspected, tested or approved, the Contractor shall give the Architect timely notice of its readiness so the Architect may observe such inspection, testing or approval. The Contractor shall bear all costs of such inspections, tests or approvals conducted by public authorities. 7.7.2 If the Architect determines that any Work requires special inspection, testing, or approval which Subparagraph 7.7.1 does not include, he or she will, upon written authorization from the State, instruct the Contractor to order such special inspection, testing or approval, and the Contractor shall give notice as provided in Subparagraph 7.7.1. If such special inspection or testing reveals a failure of the Work to comply with the requirements of the Contract Documents, the Contractor shall bear all costs thereof, including compensation for the Architect's additional services made necessary by such failure; otherwise the State shall bear such costs, and an appropriate Change Order shall be issued. 7.7.3 Required certificates of inspection, testing or approval shall be secured by the Contractor and promptly delivered by him to the Architect. 7.7.4 If the Architect is to observe inspections, tests or approvals required by the Contract Documents, he will do so promptly.
