FUNCTIONS OF THE JOINT COMMITTEE. 2.1 The Committee shall not have the power to add to or in any way modify the terms of this Agreement but shall function in an advisory capacity to the Parties with the general aim of ensuring that this Agreement is administered in a spirit of cooperation and mutual respect. 2.2 The Committee may, within the lifetime of this Agreement, recommend to the Parties amendments to the wording hereof to remove ambiguities and to ensure that the intentions of the Parties are carried into effect. Such recommendations may be rejected by either Party within 15 days. 2.3 Notwithstanding clause 2.1, the Joint Committee may authorize procedures in order to achieve ends which are within the terms and spirit of this Agreement. Such authorization may be rejected by either Party within 15 days.
