Common use of GENERAL HOLIDAY - SATURDAY AND SUNDAY Clause in Contracts

GENERAL HOLIDAY - SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. When a General Holiday falls on a Saturday or on a Sunday or on an employee's weekly day off then the next work day shall be observed as the holiday. If Christmas Day and Boxing Day fall on a Saturday and on a Sunday respectively, or on an employee's weekly days off, then the next two (2) work days shall be observed as holidays.

A different day may be substituted for the general holiday on mutual agreement between the Company and the Union (Shop Xxxxxxx or Business Representative).

If Christmas Day and Boxing Day When two General Holidays fall on a Saturday and on a Sunday respectively, or on an employee's weekly days off, the same weekend then the next two (2) work days previous Friday and the following Monday shall be observed as holidaysthe days for the General Holidays or on another day(s) as mutually agreed to between the Company and the Union.
