General Principle of Negotiations. The purpose of this recognition is a mutual agreement between the parties to negotiate in good faith effort with regard to all mandatory subjects of bargaining. "Good faith effort" is defined as the mutual responsibility of the Union and School to deal with each other openly and fairly and endeavor to reach agreement on items being negotiated. It does not imply that either party will agree with or accept, the other party proposals, or be compelled to reach agreement on specific topics.
