General Provisions for Unpaid Leaves. A. Requests for unpaid leaves under this Article shall be submitted to the supervisor by the deadline specified for each leave, except in emergency circumstances. B. Requests for unpaid leaves under this Article shall not be unreasonably denied. C. Leaves of absence under this Article, except for those under Section 19.1, shall be available to a bargaining unit member after he or she completes three (3) months of employment as a bargaining unit member.
