Geochemical Evaluation of Buena Vista Data. Geochemical evaluation will be performed on the data from Buena Vista to help identify landfill gas versus leachate impacts and their potential relative contributions to groundwater. Geosyntec will subcontract Geochem Applications of El Dorado Hills, California to perform the geochemical evaluation. The geochemical signatures of groundwater, surface water and leachate will be evaluated using Piper and Stiff diagrams. These diagrams are useful tools for “water typing” and for examining variations in groundwater chemistry using relative, rather than absolute, constituent concentrations. The Piper and Stiff diagrams depict the composition of water in terms of its major dissolved anions bicarbonate, carbonate, sulfate, and chloride) and major dissolved cations sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium). Piper and Stiff diagrams can often be used to identify natural waters exhibiting varying degrees of mineralization, mixtures of different natural waters, or mixtures of natural waters with a contaminant source. Geosyntec and Geochem will evaluate if any of the above processes are affecting the reliability of calculated background concentrations for the Buena Vista Landfill. Geosyntec will prepare a letter report for the County documenting the findings and including the Piper and Stiff diagrams. The letter report may also include recommendations for improving the effectiveness of the monitoring program for the landfill. Deliverables:

  • TECHNICAL EVALUATION (a) Detailed technical evaluation shall be carried out by Purchase Committee pursuant to conditions in the tender document to determine the substantial responsiveness of each tender.   • Authorized User Overview and Mini-Bid Process Project Based IT Consulting Services Contracts enable Authorized Users to use a competitive Mini-bid Process to acquire Services on an as-needed basis, for qualified IT Projects. Project Based IT Consulting Services may include, but will not be limited to projects requiring: analysis, data classification, design, development, testing, quality assurance, security and associated training for Information Technology based applications. See section 1.3 Out of Scope Work for a listing of projects expressly excluded from the scope of this Contract.
