Student Evaluations. Student evaluations shall be completed by the end of the 12th week of the Fall semester.
Student Evaluations. 13.07.1 The results of any student evaluations conducted by the employer and over which the employer retains sole jurisdiction, shall not be made available to third parties except in the performance of their duties and in accordance with the terms of this collective agreement. Per Article 12.24 such evaluations, or a summary of, may also be placed in an employee’s Professional Performance and Service File with the employee’s written agreement.
13.07.2 Hiring units may not use summaries of student evaluations as a source of information in reaching decisions on hiring where no relevant formal evaluations are available. Notwithstanding the above, where it is not practicable for the unit to conduct a formal evaluation before reaching a decision on hiring, it may use a summary of student evaluations, but only with the written agreement of the employee in question.
Student Evaluations. Student rating data shall function primarily as a means to faculty self-improvement, but shall also function as one source of information regarding teaching effectiveness. Student ratings should not be the sole source of information about teaching effectiveness. It is the faculty member's responsibility to provide additional evidence of competence as suggested in 16.§3.2 and 16.§3.3.
Student Evaluations. 8.5.1 Each fall semester, the supervising administrator will conduct student evaluations in all of the faculty member’s classes. This may be done more frequently at the discretion of the administrator, the peer evaluators, or by request of the probationary faculty member.
8.5.2 For instructors, student evaluations will be completed by the seventh (7) week of the semester or by the third (3) week of the late-start 8-week classes. Counselors will be evaluated using a form given to a random sample of students selected from appointments and walk-ins between the third (3) and eighth (8) week of each semester. Student evaluation of reference librarians shall be conducted for one week between the fourth (4) and eighth (8) weeks of the semester.
8.5.3 Student narrative comments will be typed to preserve anonymity and will be included in the evaluation record. Identical responses may be tabulated and not retyped.
8.5.4 For Online Instruction, the Student Online Course Evaluation Survey Form will be utilized.
Student Evaluations a. At or near the completion of each course taught by a faculty member, each student shall have the opportunity to participate in an evaluation of the course and the faculty member’s delivery of the course using an online evaluation, currently called “Class Climate”.
b. The online evaluation, currently called “Class Climate” will be made available to students electronically under the direction of Institutional Research in a manner designed to insure the confidentiality of the students’ responses.
c. Copies of the aggregate results will be distributed to the faculty member and the Department Chair.
d. The aggregate results will be used:
(i) to assist faculty members in evaluating and improving instructional methods;
(ii) to assist the Chairperson in evaluating the course and the faculty member’s teaching and to identify areas for faculty development; and
(iii) in the assessment of student perception for institutional improvement.
e. The Administration will not use or consider the aggregate results in the Faculty Recognition Program.4 In addition, the Administration will not use the aggregate results in the process of reappointment, promotion or tenure. Instead, for those, the Chair will summarize the content of the aggregate results (without specific numeric reference) and provide the summary for use by the committees responsible for considering such personnel actions.
f. The aggregate results of the online evaluations of each course will be available to the Chairperson, the Xxxx and the Xxxxxxx. There is no restriction imposed by this Agreement on access to information that is aggregated at a department level. 4 A faculty member may voluntarily submit student evaluation forms along with other materials for consideration in reappointment, promotion and tenure decisions, and for consideration in the Recognition Program.
Student Evaluations. The candidate is required to administer to students the student evaluation of teaching (form M1 – regular course, M2 – online course) during the last 4 weeks of the semester. The evaluation should be given to all students in all of the classes being taught during the fall semester. It is the candidate’s responsibility to administer the evaluation in such a way that students have the opportunity to be fair without fear of reprisal. Student evaluations should be submitted to the area xxxx as per District policies.
Student Evaluations. 13.5.1 Student evaluations are required in every evaluation cycle.
Student Evaluations. Company will cooperate with School in performing evaluations of Student’s clinical experience.
Student Evaluations. Following the first evaluation identified above, student evaluations will be administered at least once per year for all classes taught in a selected quarter, and also when the Adjunct/Associate Professor is teaching a course for the first time. All student evaluations will be available for the Adjunct or Associate Professor upon completion of the quarter for which they were administered. Student evaluations may be discussed with the supervising administrator.
Student Evaluations. L.5.a Professors With Rehire Rights: After an adjunct professor has established rehire rights, they shall conduct student evaluations within the establish evaluation period for each preparation in either the fall or spring semester as requested by the department chair or appropriate manager. These evaluations will be conducted online unless requested by the processore. If the professor requests paper student evaluations, then the professor shall submit the student evaluations, including a tally of the ratings and a file of scanned written comments, to the department chair or appropriate manager by the end of the 11th week of the semester.
