Government’s Right to Stop Work for Non-Compliance. If the Contractor, after receiving written notice from the Contracting Officer of non-compliance with any requirement of this Contract, fails to promptly initiate action to achieve compliance within a reasonable time, the Contracting Officer shall have the right to order the Contractor to stop work under the Contract until the Contractor has complied. The Contractor shall not be entitled to any extension of Contract time or payment for any costs incurred as a result of being ordered to stop work for such cause. Possession of this right by the Contracting Officer shall not relieve the Contractor of its obligation to comply with the Contract, regardless of whether this right is exercised.
