Common use of Governors and Regulators Clause in Contracts

Governors and Regulators. Whenever the Generating Facility is operated in parallel with the Transmission System and the speed governors (if installed on the generating unit pursuant to Good Utility Practice) and voltage regulators are capable of operation, Interconnection Customer shall operate the Generating Facility with its speed governors and voltage regulators in automatic operation. If the Generating Facility's speed governors and voltage regulators are not capable of such automatic operation, the Interconnection Customer shall immediately notify Transmission Owner’s system operator, or its designated representative, and ensure that such Generating Facility's reactive power production or absorption (measured in Mvars) are within the design capability of the Generating Facility's generating unit(s) and steady state stability limits. Interconnection Customer shall not cause its Generating Facility to disconnect automatically or instantaneously from the Transmission System or trip any generating unit comprising the Generating Facility for an under or over frequency condition in accordance with Good Utility Practice and Applicable Reliability Standards.

Governors and Regulators. Whenever the Large Generating Facility is operated in parallel with the Transmission System and the speed governors (if installed on the generating unit pursuant to Good Utility Practice) and voltage regulators are capable of operation, Interconnection Customer shall operate the Large Generating Facility with its speed governors and voltage regulators in automatic operation. If the Large Generating Facility's speed governors and voltage regulators are not capable of such automatic operation, the Interconnection Customer shall immediately notify Transmission Owner’s system operator, or its designated representative, and ensure that such Large Generating Facility's reactive power production or absorption (measured in Mvars) are within the design capability of the Large Generating Facility's generating unit(s) and steady state stability limits. Interconnection Customer shall not cause its Large Generating Facility to disconnect automatically or instantaneously from the Transmission System or trip any generating unit comprising the Large Generating Facility for an under or over frequency condition in accordance with Good Utility Practice and Applicable Reliability Standards.

Governors and Regulators. Whenever the Generating Facility is operated in parallel with the Transmission System and the speed governors (if installed on the generating unit units of the Generating Facility pursuant to Good Utility Practice) and voltage regulators are capable of operation, Interconnection Customer shall operate the Generating Facility with its speed governors and voltage regulators in automatic operation. If the Generating Facility's ’s speed governors and voltage regulators are not capable of such automatic operation, the Interconnection Customer shall immediately notify Transmission Owner’s system operator, or its designated representative, IPA and ensure that such Generating Facility's reactive power ’s Reactive Power production or absorption (measured in MvarsMVARs) are within the design capability of the Generating Facility's ’s generating unit(s) and steady state stability limits. Interconnection Customer shall not allow or cause its Generating Facility to disconnect automatically or instantaneously from the Transmission System or trip any generating unit comprising the Generating Facility for an under or over frequency condition unless the abnormal frequency condition persists for a time period beyond the limits set forth in accordance with Good Utility Practice and the Applicable Reliability Standards.
