GRANT EQUIPMENT Sample Clauses
GRANT EQUIPMENT the equipment, property, vehicles, processes and technology and the related goods and services in a Grant Activity for which part of the cost of purchase, lease, or utilization is reimbursed by the TCEQ under the Contract, or which is necessary for utilization of grant funded equipment. The term includes replacements for Grant Equipment that is lost, stolen, or irreparably damaged.
GRANT EQUIPMENT. The PERFORMING PARTY as part of its responsibilities to the TCEQ as stated in the General Conditions shall acquire the Grant Equipment listed below. The Grant Equipment must be powered by an engine of at least 25 horsepower (hp).

5.2 The PERFORMING PARTY must also meet the requirements below when purchasing the Grant Equipment, unless otherwise authorized by TCEQ in writing.
5.2.1 The Grant Equipment must be the same Equipment Description as stated in the table above.
5.2.2 The Grant Equipment must be used for the same primary function as the equipment being replaced.

5.2 The PERFORMING PARTY may purchase a different make, model, or year of vehicle than a unit Usted above if the vehicle meets the conditions for an on-road vehicle replacement project established in the General Conditions and Request for Grant AppUcations, and the vehicle also meets the more specific conditions below.
5.2.1 The vehicle must be the same vehicle description as stated in the table above.
5.2.2 The vehicle must be within rhe same heavy-duty vehicle gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) or, for combination truck and trailer, gross combined weight rating (GCWR) category:
a) Class 2b - 8,501 to 10,000 GVWR
b) Class 3 - 10,001 to 14,000 GVWR
c) Class 4 - 14,001 to 10,000 GVWR
d) Class 5 - 16,001 to 19,500 GVWR e) Class 6 - 19,501 to 26,000 GVWR
