Hair Testing. In order to provide a suitable specimen, an employee must have at least ½ inch of hair (head, chest, leg or underarm). Once a suitable hair specimen is obtained, the collection official will: 1. Sign, date, and indicate the time on the Order to Report form; 2. Process the specimen in accordance with accepted laboratory procedures; and 3. Forward the Order to Report form to the appropriate bureau commander;
