Handling of Pesticides. The Contractor shall be responsible for the safe and proper application of all chemicals. Care shall be taken in transferring and mixing pesticides to prevent contaminating areas outside the target area. Application methods shall be used which ensure that materials are confined to the target area. Spray tanks containing leftover materials shall not be drained on the site to prevent any contamination. Disposal of pesticides and tank rinsing materials shall be within the guidelines established in the State of California Food and Agricultural Code or EPA regulations.

Handling of Pesticides. The CONTRACTOR agrees to designate one area that is mutually agreeable between the Project Manager and the CONTRACTOR for the mixing of pesticides. Pesticides and other chemicals stored on-site shall be stored in a locked and labeled manner. The CONTRACTOR agrees to provide backflow devices on all sprayers used in the Crooked Lake WEA Citrus Grove.
