Common use of Handover Clause in Contracts

Handover. (a) The Developer is responsible for the delivery and care of the Works at all times prior to Handover of the Works. (b) Handover will occur and Council will assume responsibility for the Works: (i) following dedication to Council of the land on which Works are located; or (ii) if Works are carried out on land already owned by Council, on the issue of a Certificate of Practical Completion for those Works.
