Harvest Systems. The terrain of the Community Forest is generally very well suited to conventional ground based harvesting systems. The majority of the harvesting today is done by xxxxxx bunchers, grapple skidders and butt & top loaders for roadside harvesting. Many of the steeper slopes have harvesting restrictions/constraints such as terrain, stability and visual quality objectives. Steeper slopes will be harvested as required.
