Common use of Health/Accident Clause in Contracts

Health/Accident. a. health care and/or dental expenses which are not reimbursed through any other source (employee and/or dependents) as permitted by state and federal law, regulations, and guidelines, and as permitted by the County’s Section 125 Plan Document. Examples of items covered under this provision may include such items as health and dental insurance deductibles, vision care, lenses and frames for eye glasses, and orthodontic treatment; i. Any portion of the Optional Benefit allocated towards the health reimbursement category as outlined in Section 3.C.5.a. will be subtracted from the amount the employee is eligible for under the County’s Health Care Reimbursement Account (if the employee participates) and subject to state and federal law, regulations and guidelines. b. Employee's share of Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance premiums for employee and dependents available through the County. This option will be eliminated effective for the Plan Year 2020 or as soon thereafter as administratively feasible.
