Health Alert Network (HAN. A web-based, secure, redundant, electronic communication and collaboration system operated by OHA, available to all Oregon public health officials, hospitals, labs and other health service providers. The data it contains is maintained jointly by OHA and all LPHAs. This system provides continuous, high-speed electronic access to public health information including the capacity for broadcasting information to registered partners in an emergency, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. The secure HAN has a call- down engine that can be activated by state or local HAN administrators.
