Common use of Health and Safety Policy Committee Clause in Contracts

Health and Safety Policy Committee. (a) The parties also agree to establish a single joint Occupational Health and Safety Policy Committee as set out in section 134.1 of the Canada Labour Code. The Union will have three (3) bargaining unit representatives, as determined by the Union, on the Policy Committee. (b) The Union Policy Committee members shall meet in person with an Employer representative or representatives at least once every four (4) months on paid time at applicable rates or more often if other meetings are required as a result of an emergency or other special circumstances.

The remaining meetings may be held remotely. The meetings will occur with an Employer representative or representatives at least once every four three (43) months on paid time at applicable rates or more often if other meetings are required as a result of an emergency or other special circumstances.
