25.09 The Committee shall have access to the annual summary of data from WSIB relating to the number of work accident fatalities, the number of lost work days cases, the number of non-fatal cases that required medical aid with relevant terms lost workdays, the incidence of reference contained in occupational injuries, and reasonable access to such other related non-confidential data available from the Employer.
25.10 The Union co-chairperson, or designate, shall be allowed to accompany a policy statementMinistry of Labour inspector on an inspection tour of the workplace and speak confidentially with the inspector.
25.11 The Employer will make all affected direct care employees aware of residents who have serious infectious diseases to the extent possible within the framework of applicable federal and provincial privacy legislation. The Employer shall continue to make provisions for the health, safety and environment will advise of the employeesproper procedures and proper precautions necessary to deal with such residents’ conditions. The direct care workers are obligated to maintain confidentiality in respect of this information.
25.12 Employees who are not direct care employees will be made aware of special procedures required of them to deal with these circumstances. The parties agree that the joint committee will include an employee member from each department who will represent the interests of their department at these joint meetings. An alternate employee member will also be selected it is important for attendance at these meetings when the regular representative cannot attend. The employee member and alternate will be selected by a vote of the all employees to practice universal precautions in each of the respective Departments. Whenever possible, meetings will be held during work time and no employee will be expected to attend meetings without pay.

(c) Where the Employer identifies high-risk areas where employees are exposed to infectious or communicable diseases for which there are available protective medications, such medications shall be provided at no cost to the employees.
(a) Joint Health and Safety Committee composed of two (2) CAW members per committee chosen by the Union. At no time shall the Employer representatives be allowed to outnumber the employee representatives.
(b) Two co-chairpersons shall be elected by and from the members of the committee. One co-chair shall be an employee member; the other shall be an Employer member.
(c) The committee shall determine that inspections have been carried out at least once a month by the co-chairs or designates.
(d) Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the committee shall:
(1) Carry out monthly inspections of the workplace.
(2) Recommend measures required to attain compliance with appropriate government regulations and the correction of hazardous conditions.
(3) Consider recommendations from the workforce with respect to health and safety matters and recommend implementation where warranted.
(4) Meet once a month for the healthreview of reports of current accidents, safety occupational diseases and environment sprains and strains injuries, their causes and means of the employees. The parties agree that the joint committee will include an employee member from each department who will represent the interests of their department at these joint meetings. An alternate employee member will also be selected for attendance at these meetings when the regular representative cannot attend. The employee member and alternate will be selected by a vote of the employees in each of the respective Departments. Whenever possible, meetings will be held during work time and no employee will be expected to attend meetings without pay.

(6) Committee members are entitled to one hour or such longer period of time as the Employercommittee determines is necessary to prepare for each committee meeting, must be returned. Upon termination, all items of clothing shall be returned such availability prior to the Employer, or cost to be deducted from final monies owing to the employeescheduling of any six (6) week scheduling period.

The Employer will notify the Union Co-Chairperson of any ‘near miss.’ Near misses will also be reported to the Joint Health and Safety Committee at their meetings.
9.08 No employee shall continue operate any piece of equipment or perform duties until the employee has received orientation, education and/or instruction.
9.09 The Committee shall have access to make provisions for the healthannual summary of data from WSIB relating to the number of work accident fatalities, safety the number of lost work day cases, the number of non-fatal cases that required medical aid with lost workdays, the incidence of occupational injuries, and environment reasonable access to such other related non-confidential data available from the Employer.
9.10 The Union co-chairperson, or designate, shall be allowed to accompany a Ministry of Labour inspector on an inspection tour of the employeesworkplace and speak confidentially with the inspector.
9.11 The Employer will make all affected direct care employees aware of residents who have serious infectious diseases to the extent possible within the framework of applicable federal and provincial privacy legislation. The Employer will advise of the proper procedures and proper precautions necessary to deal with such residents’ conditions. The direct care workers are obligated to maintain confidentiality in respect of this information.
9.12 Employees who are not direct care employees will be made aware of special procedures required of them to deal with these circumstances. The parties agree that the joint committee will include an employee member from each department who will represent the interests of their department at these joint meetings. An alternate employee member will also be selected it is important for attendance at these meetings when the regular representative cannot attend. The employee member and alternate will be selected by a vote of the all employees to practice universal precautions in each of the respective Departments. Whenever possible, meetings will be held during work time and no employee will be expected to attend meetings without pay.
20.02 a) The Employer shall provide standard safety equipment as required, which include: Work gloves and/or mitts Hardhats Rain capes Safety belts Safety face xxxxxxx Safety glasses Ear protection Kneepads Insect repellant Sun block Air packs Any such safety equipment shall be made available as determined to be necessary by the employee's supervisorall circumstances. The Employer will supply uniforms, without charge, in accordance with its policy, as amended from to time to time, to those ensure that all employees required by the Employer to wear such uniforms. These uniforms shall not be worn other than on duty and shall remain the property are aware of the Employer. All items requirement to be replaced or reissued, subject to the agreement of the Employer, must be returned. Upon termination, all items of clothing shall be returned to the Employer, or cost to be deducted from final monies owing to the employeepractice universal precautions.
