Hiring Preference. A laid-off full-time faculty member subject to a reduction in force that is not qualified to teach in any unaffected areas, but that is qualified to fill a vacant non-faculty position within the College, will receive preference in hiring over external candidates and other College employees not currently on lay-off status for a period of two (2) years from the date of the lay-off.
