HOLIDAY DEFINED. In addition to vacation leave, Auditor Department employees are entitled to holiday pay based on the standard workday for: New Year’s Day Juneteenth Thanksgiving Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Day Independence Day Day after Thanksgiving President's Day Columbus Day ½ Day Christmas Eve Good Friday Day ½ day Labor Day Christmas Day Memorial Day Veterans Day Floating Holiday Employees will also be entitled to four (4) hours of Holiday pay taken on either Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve. Scheduling will be handled based on departmental needs. If the schedule cannot be handled by mutual agreement in the department, then seniority will determine the holiday schedule. Use of floating holiday must be used in full day increments. Notice must be given by the end of the previous business day. The Auditor commits that use of a floating holiday shall not be unreasonably denied. Floating holidays must be used within the calendar year and cannot be carried over to the following year. Holidays shall occur on the days specified in Section 1.14 of the Revised Code. In the event that any of the aforesaid holidays fall on a Saturday, the Friday immediately preceding shall be observed as the holiday. In the event that any of the aforesaid holidays fall on a Sunday, the Monday immediately succeeding shall be observed as the holiday. If an employee's work schedule is other than Monday through Friday, the employee is entitled to holiday pay for holidays observed on their day off, regardless of the day of the week on which they are observed.

The current shift designations for holidays in Utilities-Water Treatment Plant, Utilities-Waste Water Treatment Plant and Parks-Fitness Center shall continue. If a holiday falls on a Saturday, the holiday will be celebrated on Friday and if it falls on Sunday, the holiday will be celebrated on a Monday.

  • Seniority Defined Seniority is defined as the total length of service in the bargaining unit as an employee, regardless of occupational change. Seniority shall be used as one of the factors in determining preference or priority for promotion, transfers, demotions, terminations and layoff caused by force reductions and recall. Seniority shall operate on a bargaining unit wide basis.

  • Disability Defined For the purposes of this Agreement, the Executive shall be deemed to have terminated his employment by reason of “Disability”, if the Board shall determine that the physical or mental condition of the Executive prevents him from the normal performance of his duties as determined by the Board.

  • Key Definitions As used herein, the following terms shall have the following respective meanings:

  • Overtime Defined All time worked before or after the regular work day, the regular work week or on a holiday, as specified herein, shall be considered overtime.

  • Vacancy Defined A vacancy shall be defined as a newly created position, or a present position that is not filled and that the Board intends to fill.

  • Overtime Definition Overtime shall be defined as being all hours worked in excess of the normal or standard work day, or in excess of the normal or standard work week. The overtime rate shall be one and one-half (1½) times the regular straight time hourly rate of pay. NOTE: Article 16.04 is applicable to full-time employees only.

  • Seniority Definition Seniority is the Layoff Service Date which is the date the employee began state service (except as a temporary appointee) as adjusted for break(s)-in-service. (See Letter of Agreement 70.00-09-179 in Appendix A).

  • Property Defined The Land, the Improvements, the Personal Property, the Leases and the Intangibles are hereinafter sometimes referred to collectively as the "Property."

  • DPA Definitions The definition of terms used in this DPA is found in Exhibit “C”. In the event of a conflict, definitions used in this DPA shall prevail over terms used in any other writing, including, but not limited to the Service Agreement, Terms of Service, Privacy Policies etc.
