Common use of Holiday or Observation Day Clause in Contracts

Holiday or Observation Day. Employees required to work on the day the holiday actually falls will be paid double their regular rate for actual hours worked in addition to holiday pay. Employees required to work on a day of observation of the holiday defined above will be paid one and one-half (1-1/2) times their regular rate for actual hours worked, in addition to the holiday.
