Holiday Requirements. An employee shall not be paid for a statutory holiday in the event of absence from work on the work day preceding or the work day following the said holiday unless the employee is on: (a) Annual vacation, (b) Leave of Absence granted under Article 22, Clauses 0, 22.04, 0, or 22.07, (c) Approved sick leave, (d) WorkSafeBC’s wage loss benefits the day before a holiday, but at work the day after a public holiday.
