Holidays Recognized and Observed. Section 1. The following holidays shall be recognized and observed as paid holidays: New Year’s Day Labor Day Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xx. Day Veteran’s Day President’s Day Thanksgiving and day after Thanksgiving Patriot’s Day Christmas Day Memorial Day ½ day before Christmas Independence Day Columbus Day Whenever any of the holidays listed above shall fall on Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be observed as the holiday. Whenever any of the holidays listed above shall fall on Sunday, the succeeding Monday shall be observed as the holiday.
