Hourly Rated Personnel & Employees Hired on an. If, As and When" Basis (a) for each day the employee is at work irrespective of the number of hours worked; or (b) for each day that the employee is recognized as being on "stand by". In order to qualify for the daily rate, an employee hired on an "if, as and when" basis is required to work one-half (1/2) or greater of the normal working hours, i.e. seven and one-quarter (7¼ ) or eight (8) hours in any one day.
