Common use of Hours of Work and Free Time of Directors of Nursing Clause in Contracts

Hours of Work and Free Time of Directors of Nursing. This clause does not apply to part-time employees. 13.1 A Director of Nursing shall be free from duty for not less than 9 days in each 28 consecutive days and such days free from duty may be taken in one or more periods. 13.2 If any of the days mentioned in subclause 13.1 of this clause cannot be taken by reason of emergency, such day or days shall be given and taken within 28 days of becoming due. 13.3 A Director of Nursing shall, where practicable, inform their employer giving not less than seven days' notice of the days they propose to be free from duty; provided that such days shall be subject to the approval of the employer, and such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld.
