Identification of service users. 8.1 The service user’s identity must be checked to ensure the prescription is dispensed to the correct person. The Pharmacy Introduction Letter aims to assist this process. 8.2 If there is any uncertainty with the identity of the service user, the prescriber must be contacted, and the dose withheld until the individual’s identity is ascertained.
